My name is Bill. I have been in business for about four years. I have trained at Golfsmith in Austin Texas. I am a Certified Class A member of the Professional Clubmakers Society and Accredited Professional Advanced member of the Golf Clubmakers Association and have received Certification for fitting The Physically Challenged Golfer. I adhere to the finest industry standards in every job I do. I have worked with and fitted clubs for all levels of golfers, including juniors, women, novices and high, mid and low handicapped, golf professionals and physically challenged golfers.

What are custom clubs?

"Custom Clubs" means different things to different people. Some envision someone measuring how tall they are to determine the length of clubs they should play. Still others envision someone hand-crafting detailed permission wood clubs. And, unfortunately still others see someone slapping together a "knock-off" or "clone" of the most popular brands in golf clubs.
Custom golf clubs are golf equipment manufactured from first quality components, designed to match the golf swing of the player. The clubmaker considers many factors mentioned below to insure the industry standards are met.
We at Wild Bill's Custom Golf want to introduce the average golf enthusiast to the reality of Quality Custom Made, Custom fitted Golf Clubs that are tailored to fit you!

Performance Factors

There are five performance factors that are affected through a quality custom golf club fitting session. These factors are considered in each set of clubs manufactured at Wild Bill's Custom Golf. The performance factors are Distance, Accuracy, Trajectory, Feel and Spin.

Factors to consider

When one considers the factors that affect a golf swing, you can begin to appreciate the value of clubs that are specifically TAILORED FOR YOU! Why would you play "off the rack" clubs when your equipment is so important to your ability to play your best golf?
Factors that affect the golf swing are age, physical abilities, strength, swing speed, time spent at practice, player profiles, arm length, and swing tempo to name a few.
Equipment factors affecting your swing are club head type, loft, lie angle, shaft length, shaft flex and bend point, club swing-weight, total club weight, total club length, grip size and type.

COST?

Some folks turn to custom Clubmakers to save money. Although they generally cost less than the original manufactured equipment, cost alone should not be the deciding factor. To play better golf, because you are playing with clubs that "fit" and clubs that "feel" right and clubs that "react" correctly is far more important than merely cost. Some would pay any price to purchase a set of quality Custom Made Golf Clubs fitted specifically for YOU and YOUR golf swing!
Wild Bill's Custom Golf is commited to making only the very best custom built golf equipment at reasonable prices.

What Makes Wild Bill's Different?

I do not make clones or knock-off's. I deal only in first quality products from reputable manufacturers and distributors.
We LISTEN! Your comments and your goals are important to us. We want to make the very best set of clubs possible every time for every client!
We adhere to well established industry standards. We will take no short-cuts. We perform a frequency analysis on every shaft, insuring that the club will be consistant with the players swing speed and load (swing torque) and the clubs will respond at point of impact "in sync with the player's timing". Many players tell us that the frequency matching lets each club "feel" the same, whether it's your 3 iron or your 7 iron!
